The Market Optimiser
(available as an optional add-on module for Market Master X-ec) 
Market MasterModern technical analysis has advanced to the point where there are an exhaustive number of indicators available to the serious chartist.  As not all indicators work equal well with all stocks, this module assists users in identifying the most profitable indicators to use for a given stock, along with the exact periods, limits and moving averages.  It will do this for any share on your Market Master program.  As market trends change, the Optimiser ensures you are always using the most up to date and accurate indicates.  You can customise the optimiser to find results that suit your investment/trading profile (short/medium/long-term – High/Low risk, etc..)

Shown opposite is the initial test screen where you can select which stock, market sector or predefined series of stocks to test.  Then you can select which indicator or selection of indicators to test.  You can also select which time frame to analyse and thus home in on current trends, or step back to a longer view.  The Advanced options are used to predefine your parameters for your trading or investment style and lets you define your preferred indicator analysis method, minimum desired profit per trade, the maximum loss per trade, the desired Good/Bad trade ratio, brokerage per trade and so on.
The Market Explorer The optimiser will then mechanically test every single period (or combination of periods for indicators that use two or more periods). It internally draws the chart and indicator with any needed moving averages and then looks for the buy & sell signals given.  It then adds up the profit and losses for that set of periods and moves on to the next and then finally tells you which is most profitable, based on your input criteria. The optimiser thus does in a few minutes what would have taken you days to asses. 

Shown here is the Progress window as the Market Optimiser analyses the indicator(s) you selected with each of the required stocks.  As Market Master is a true 32-bit multi-threaded program, as optimisations are being processed, you can continue to draw graphs and use other features - watching the progress bars is not you only option!
The Market ExplorerFinally, you can use the results!
The Market Optimiser will keep all the results obtained for you to further analyse and it can then automatically display the chart with the best indicator and periods.  The Buy and Sell dates and values are highlighted on the chart for your ease of reference.


Please Note the Limitations:
The Market Optimiser is not a ‘crystal ball’ of future profit - it analyses on past performance, and as with all technical analysis, it is presumed that future performance under normal circumstances will be similar.  The Market Optimiser cannot find a profitable indicator for an unprofitable stock!  It can only mechanically give the best results that can be obtained for a given indicator based on the criteria you ask it to use.  Many stocks can be "Optimised" ad-infinitum and continually fail to find profitable results due to the stocks lack of performance rather than the Optimiser's ability.
